Hi! My name is Kate Mogard.  I love teaching Kindergarten!  In fact, I already knew that I wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher when I was in Kindergarten myself!

I received my degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Early Childhood, from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.  I spent four years teaching Kindergarten and 1st Grade in River Falls, Wisconsin, before moving to Brookings in 2007.  This is my fifth year teaching Kindergarten in Brookings.  I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Educational Administration at South Dakota State University.

I live in Brookings with my husband Mike, who is a 3rd Grade teacher at Hillcrest.  We welcomed our first child – Maisie – into our family in October 2009, and  Henry joined our family on November 1, 2011.  Life is busy at the Mogard house!
